Job Description:

1. Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
2. Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
3. Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
4. Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
5. Combine models through ensemble modeling
6. Present information using data visualization techniques
7. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
8. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams
9. Experience in data mining
10. Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
11. Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
12. Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
